      Located across the street from the Monument, the museum houses compelling exhibits that tell the story of the battle and its commemoration, the story of the Bunker Hill Monument, and the history of the Charlestown community. The museum includes a degree cyclorama mural of the battle, refurbished dioramas and artifacts, and a bookstore. On this day in , at the laying of the cornerstone of the Bunker Hill Monument, Daniel Webster addressed a crowd of ,, including veterans who had survived the first major battle of the Revolution — an encounter between colonial militiamen and a larger number of better-trained and equipped British Regulars. .
